Three type of Symmetrix Casing system
一. The casing shoe is rigidly connected to the ring bit. When pulling out the casing pipe the reamer assembly ( ring bit set ) can be pulled out along with the casing tube. When drilling, the pilot bit can be separated from the ring bit. Because the pilot bit is larger than the pipe, the resistance to pulling out the casing pipe is greater.
二. The casing shoe and the ring bit are flexibly connected through a soft lock. When pulling out the casing pipe, the ring bit will remain in the hole,, and the resistance to pulling out the casing pipe is small. When drilling, the pilot bit can be separated from the ring bit. 三. The casing shoe and the ring bit are not connected. When pulling out casing pipe, the ring bit will remain in the hole, and the resistance to pulling out the casing pipe is small. When drilling, the pilot bit cannot be separated from the ring bit.
These three are the most commonly used. The first is the most expensive, and the third is the cheapest.
