In conjunction with DTH hammers, DTH hammer bits with DHD shank type are designed with a splined drive for rotating the bit in the ground. Rock drill bits in DHD shank are available in different sizes and different styles so they can drill a wide range of hole sizes.
It is usually used as gauge buttons and front buttons of DTH Bits, suitable for medium abrasive and hard formations.
